my tranny's slipping?! how is redline tranny fuild?

i changed me tranny fluid at just past 55k w/ mobil 1 synthetic. the last time i changed it was around 15k and i used mobil synthetic then, also.

but this time, my tranny's slipped 3 to 4 times, two of them causing my front wheel to chirp when it caught 2nd gear.

i was wondering if any of u guys have had this issue? i'm thinking of switching over to redline.

i'm gonna have to contact don about the valve body.. my non-working speakers and my balding tires will have to wait i guess.

kafene.

Every so often mine does that as well. I think it's just the bad logic Nissan uses that keeps our Automagic trans up in 2nd or even 3rd gear until the car comes to a complete stop. Sometimes from just a rolling stop if I hit the gas I catch the trans. sort of between gears and will get a jolt from it. I think it's more of a learn how to deal with issue rather then problematic. The VB mod isn't going to change the shifting pattern, neither will fluid. You will just get stronger shifts with the VB and the Synt. fluid will just keep it all working for years and years.

How to change to synthetic?

Is there a "how to" written anywhere on how to change to synthetic tranny fluid? How do you drain all the old fluid out?

Drain and refill cleans out about 4 quarts (total 10 in the transmission). That is sufficient if you want to maintain your transmission properly. Synthetic mixes with normal ATF just fine, so don't worry about an incomplete flush.

Jiffy Lube will do a T-tech flush for $90 if you bring in your own Redline fluid (you will need 12 quarts)

Are you talking about manual or automatic. The manual is on www.maximadriver.com
