I'm going to be honest here, I know precious little of tires/wheels, but the particular ones I was looking at come in 18x9 and am really looking hard at them. Please let me know what tire size I should be considering, I can do the rest from there. Thanks, guys.

255/40/18 if you can find them would be ideal.

 

I think 235/40/18 would be too little rubber on 9 inch wides. I have 235/40s on 18x8.5s and they already looked a little stretched. Unless of course that's the look you want.

 

I have 245/40-18 on my 18x9 no rubbing . but when i need new tire in going to go 255/40-18

 

235/40s will look stretched on that size. I would personally go for 255/40-35 or 245/40.

 

what are the offset of the wheels? what brand tires? are you lowered and how low? offset, ride height, and tire size will determine whether or not you will rub. Do keep in mind that some tires run wider than others even tho they are the same size.

general recommendation for 18x9: 245/40 or 255/40

 

255/35 should be square on a 9" rim--that's what I'd go for.

 

I say 255/35.. I've seen that size on 18inch g35c rims, looked a bit chunky.. Should go perfect with your 18x9's

 

255/40 is what I'd do, as long as my offset was 30 - 35 (+)!!!

 

depends on what you are looking for. if you are slammed and need clearance 225-235. 245 should be square on the slim side, depending on manufacturer. 255 square on the meaty side. 265 + for fatty bubble. i wouldn't go down to a 35 series unless you go 265+.
