Tons of Suspenstion issues! YAY

So my car now makes a click when I accelerate in any gear now. I doubt it is the Motor/trani mount but I think it could be the Stab link, or bad spring. I am thinking more a bad/broken spring I doubt the Stab link would move this much even if it was loose or bad under very lite acel.

My steering wheel makes the god most awful squeal. It does this on bumps too. This is the inner Tie-rod. Could be the outer as well. I REALLY REALLY hope it is not the whole rack. I would cry. It also squeals when I hit any bumps. SO it could be a bad spring.

Lets see... Oh and I can hear a clunk at times during the steer which also relates to the tierods. Anyone wanna add anything?

I think there is 2 inner tie rods on this right? obv there is 2 outers.

damn dude, get her on a lift and do what these guys are sayin, strut mounts click when you turn generally. springs squeak, and you'd know if one was broken cause car would be sagging or pulling.

The only thing that's gonna "squeal" is a belt. No tierod or spring can squeal. Neither can the rack. The popping while turning the wheel is your strut top mount bering. Spring failing is extremely rare. Check to see that all the belts are tight and that there is enough fluid in the ps res. Stab link can cause a click or clunk on acceleration but if it's a rythmic clicking apon accel it's prob the axle.
Good luck

Well it is not like the sound of a belt squeel and I know it is not the PS pump because this can so it with the car off. Basically it is like... ERRRRR kinda sound. lol. It is hard to explain. You move the wheel back and forth it will be like "err" "err"

if while your turning the wheel you hear a clunking or popping or chunking or jerking(any abnormal sound or movement while spinning the steering wheel) and its most likely the strut top bering (strut mount bering).9.8 out of 10 times.

Take it to a good alignment shop for a diagnosis.

I never dropped the car to be honest. I just drive like Mario Andriette in a sports Sedan. lol. I take corners like I am in a AWD car too. I just can't take a slow corner. It kills me. lol

This could be why I am having problems in a 10 year old car.

Your tranny has been junk for awhile now, and IIRC your clutch was on it's way out also right? I hope I'm not confusing your car with someone else in regards to the tranny. Didn't I point out some transmission problems at the beginning of the year along with the front end problems? A rumble/tick when your foot is off the clutch?

lol no Kev, that was not me. haha. I don't have no rumble or tick sounds from my tranni. I do have a input bearing that need replacing soon though. Other then that my Tranni is fine. yes the clutch prob has like 20-30% or so of life on it, I'm guessing.

Borrow/use your neighbor's or use the one in your trunk to jack up and place it on a jack stand. But anyway...Get out that big pry bar and inspect your front end components for damage or wear, just don't replace all your components as stated by some of our orgers...find the source! The strut mount bearing sounds like it may be worn, check your coil spring isolators, the spring may be contacting the strut perch directly cause this screechhhhhh! Just try to look at your car yourself, unless you've got deep pockets! If you feel more comfortable going to a shop, do so but, make them show you whats worn out! Don't just take their words! The shops used to screw women all the time but today's man is not that far from yesterdays woman...they get screwed just as much! They'll test you out regardless of your gender these days. Wish I was there to help you save your money....Anyway Congrats to the Pats over the Bills 13-0 .

Tie rods- removal

anyone removed a tie rod without replacing the steering gear mechanism/rack and pinion ? I have play in the rack ball joint with a torn boot. I think this is contributing to a "clunk" when I hit a bump

You actually mean the inner tierod ( inside the rack)? There's a tool to change that on the car, you also may wanna pick up the two syles of boot band tool to properly install those bands on the boots. One crimps, the winds up the band then locks it with a tab.
