mitsubishi evolution IX vs Nissan maxima 06 SL!!!!

hey guys just want your opinion i currently have a nissan maxima 2006 sl hooked it up a bit with some goodies. bought the car brand new but im getting bored not having it stick. now my friend is selling his Mitsubishi evolution IX 2006 for an unbelievable price. i dont know what to do. ive done so much research. Give me your feedback. what would u do? lets just say if i sold my car and bought his car i would have 9000 dollars in my pocket if i sell it at the price that is resonable.

it really depends if you need a roomy 4dr sedan to haul people.

what's wrong with it? that's what I would be askin. If nothing do it. they aren't small cars I mean back seat is reasonable and they do kick ****. I personally wouldn't part with my max but hey 9k for extra goodies is like a stage 3 turbo setup. you r talking mad power.

Well you could what I did and put in Evo equipment in ur Maxima. I have the Evo leather seats, Evo MR shift **** and e brake handle, and a JDM Evo rear diffuser. My steering wheel is made by MOMO and looks very much like the MOMO Evo unit.

i drove both, the maxima, and a EVO MR...6 Speed.

the maxipad has much more low end torque, but on a Evo its fun giving it gas and feeling 300 horses pushing you when the turbo spools up.

its fun when the turbos kick in. and my oh my does the MR pull like a beast. i drove a stock one, and . i was suprised.

maximas are nice cars, no doubt, but if u can get a Evo and still have 9grand? why not buy a 4th or even a 5th gen with that, and your set,

I say get the Evo. I personally don't like the 6speed(I prefer the 5) but if its that cheap and nothing's wrong with it then I say do it. It is a very fun car, you can speed and probably get away from cops attentien because its a 4door. I been in my friends Evo 9 SE plenty of times and I <3 it even more. Wish I can get one :\ but for now I'm good with the Max

06 Max is still very sexy but I think you want the Evo :P

thank you all for all the input. so idk if you all know in NY it snowed all day yesterday. so i decided hey lemme c how it will do in these conditions. so i called my boy and he lent it to me for the night. it drives like a dream. nothing wrong with anything. the reason he is giving it so cheap is because he is one of those rich kids lol so his parents lose is my gain lol. so anyway i took it to a parking lot WOW sorry but i love my maxima i mean brand new out the box ive had fun with it but there is nuttin like this evo. it is completly stock only thing is upgraded sound system. also im not looking to do much to the evo if i get it but hey dont we all say that when we get cars lol

Evo hands down. i love my maxima, but if i had the opportunity id take the EVO for a straight trade. Such a better platform for modding too.

you could get that evo, sell your max, and buy a 04 for 9k lol. that way there is almost no loss only gain.

why even post? LOL
it sounds like a good deal

the only reason i would not get an evo as opposed to your max is the looks.

Id say Evo for more agressive and racing times. Maxima is when u want to have a pleasant ride. with some punch power. ye its not as fast and sporty as evo. But it can kick some *** in our cars category like accord and camry. So i mean EVO is more car for fun. Maxima is for pleasure

did your "boy" also loan you a "period" or a "comma"

You sound like a prepubescent teenager so I think the evo seems like a right car for you

are you serious? do you think you will get less attention from cops if you were speeding or driving normally in a evo than a maxima would? you are way off my friend. cops are not stupid and they know what kind of cars ppl use to street race or what not so, you will get a whole lot more attention and you will also get more teenagers reving thier engines at you on stop lights and stuff.

but to be honest you do sound like a teenager. i know bcus i am one. but be carefull if you get a an evo or a wrx/sti.m cops will be all over you.

to answer op, make sure nothing is wrong with the car by taking it to the dealer or something. and if it all cheacks out let me know who is selling it so i can jump on it. lol

Its still a 4 year old Mitsubishi that has been reamed its whole life by a boy. Expect all kinds of $#!+ to start falling apart soon. Rich kids don't usually take care of cars...
