anyone running faskbrakes 12.6" 4 piston caliper kit?

Posting here as i think it may see more views than the advanced susp/braking area, if im not correct can a mod please move..

anyway..

i was looking at the fastbrakes kit and i am thinking about getting it. however, i dont need the rotors or s/s lines, just the calipers and relocation brackets( i have the 6th gen upgrade). do you know if they sell them seperately? i emailed them and asked, i havent heard back yet. anyone running the kit, how do you like it? i hear too many complaints on the Z32 setup, i want to do this right the 1st time.

thanks

That's the Wilwood kit right? I've been wanting to do this too, and I'm under the impression that you can, but don't quote me on it. We'll keep this in this forum for now.

yes, you can get the calipers from wilwood, you just need to know which dynalight caliper it is. my guess is he WONT part out the relocation brakets, cause if he did, you could just buy those and build the kit yourself. its pricy at $825 and im sure can be build for less, i'd pay him $150 for those brackets though...

There is a seller on eBay who has the calipers and bracket for sale w/o rotors after I convinced him that the 04+ Maxima rotors work fine and most would like to keep their OEM sized rotors for replacement reasons.

I've had that kit on my 4th gen for several months now, no issues, stops great, pedal feel is still good as well.

Fastbrakes uses those Wilwood calipers which have no dust boots, right?

i could have the brackets made, just need dimensions, might even be able to have them laser cut depending on the thickness

heard back from fastbrakes..

You will have to use the Wilwood lines as the factory lines won't fit into
the Wilwood calipers.

We do have just the caliper/pad/line/adapter kit for $645. We use the Hawk
HPS pads in the kit.

How often do you disassemble the Wilwood calipers, since the don't come with dustboots?

I have not once disassembled them, but then again I've only had them on for a couple of months.

mine was the fastbrakes kit with Wilwood superlites. I used Matt Blehm's 12.6" 2-pc rotors with it though. I bought the kit from fastbrakes WITHOUT rotors.

I can talk to my friend and see how much he can get the wilwood kits for. He has an account with them as he does BBKs for 300zx.
