5.5 gen fog lamp replacement

So my drivers side fog lamp is cracked and needs to be replaced. I searched the forum for a how to but have been unsucessful in finding one. Can anyone tell me the best way to remove the fog lamp? Also does anyone have the part # for the Drivers for lamp and passenger fog lamp?

I have a 5th gen but i assume its similar if not the same.

Take off splash guards on both sides of the car under each fog lamp.

Remove 1 screw on bottom of each fog lamp.

Tricky part**
Push metal spikes from fog lamp out of plastic clips on inside of bumper.
I did so by taking my headlights out and hitting the spikes through with a hammer while someone else tried to pull it out from the from.

Remove the splash guards as mentioned (1-10mm screw, 1 phillips screw and a couple plastic clips)
Unhook the connector (small flat head screw driver works well for me)
Remove two (2) 10mm nuts from the two studs on the fog light housing (one directly above the other)
Pull out from the front of the bumper

Reverse order to re-install

I found a used OEM fog light housing on eBay for 50 bucks. There's also www.car-part.com.

Also, those write-ups were all in the new Stickied How-To/DIY thread.

while we're on the subject....... when you do a 00-01 to 02-03 front bumper conversion, when it comes to the foglights what do you actually have to change to make them compatible? are the harnesses different? (this is not a thread jack or anything, i just want to know while we're discussing foglights.)

Just bought mine from courtesy nissan a couple weeks ago and got rid of the two holes that have been in my foglights for 3 years. So much better. They're pricey as hell though...I paid $175 or so

Why not try calling Dave B. (South Point Nissan) and ask for a price. His pricing is very reasonable. If you don't like, then eBay is your option or used parts.
