Something everyone might want to check with 5spds

Lately my shifter has felt really notcy and loose. I decided when I was replacing a burned out fog bulb, to check the bolts on my linkage. Well I found the one on the actualy shifter linkage was loose, So I tightended it down, and man what a difference it made on the shifter! It's easier to shift now!

Something you guys might want to check.

Stock. This is the bolt that is right next to the tranny where a rubber seal is there.

The one on the actual black rod that connects into the back of the tranny. has a NUT on one end and a bolt on the other. It goes through the bushing or something like that. That was loose.

Remove the 5 bolts for heatshield, and there is a 14mm bolt that is pointing towards the rear of the car... Russ is talking about that.

Russ you should get a STS. Makes a lovely difference. I can hold rpms higher and shift later and faster...
Just one I have to tighten. I thought there are a lot? Thank you.

The one on the tranny!!! Not the shifter. I did nothing near the cat. The other end of the rod is another bolt that goes through the middle. That one!
