Did the inner joint desperate, or did the joint pop out of the trans.? I read another thread here about 3 NEW shafts coming apart at the inner joint. I believe they were Autozone pieces. Seems they did not install the snap innermost snap-ring.

You seem to imply that it popped out of the trans, at least that's what I'm getting from it.

You did install the three bearing retainer bolts, correct? Other than the inner joint collapsing on itself, that's the only way for the passenger side axle to come away from the trans.

Wow, that sucks.

Do you have any pictures or video? I think a picture of the damage would be a great thing to refer to for diagnostic purposes.

ok it popped out of the tranny while i was driving... and i'm not sure of the bolts u r referring to bcuz there were no bolts when i took it out the original ( on the tranny side) i put back everything in the reverse order i took em out and tapped in the axle with a hammer n wood. tried turning the axle with my hand to make sure the cogs were locked in good n all. i'll have pics within a few hours

There is a support bracket for the passenger axle (looks like a triangle) that you need to put the axle through, and then use 3 14mm (iirc) bolts to secure the axle to the car. It is about halfway between the hub and the transmission. If you didn't put those three bolts in, that is most likely why your axle keeps popping out.

I thought you replaced the passenger side axle... Am I wrong to think that the tranny is on the driver side?

Yup, as everyone else said. Unlike the drivers side, with those three bolts off on the passenger side, it is extremely easy to separate the axle from the transmission. With out those bolts, it is very likely the axle will come out of the transmission at some point.

Or he has no passenger support bracket, if it's even possible to drive like that.
