z tube for intake

Has anyone tried the 350z intake tube on a maxima I know its a upgrade for the g35 guys just looked like it could work on the maxima too.

I dont see why it wouldnt work...you could use the tubing and then stick a pop-charger on the end of it and you basically have yourself an intake.

Thats what I was thinkn only thing that looked a little unattractive is a little bracket that sticks off the side probably for the z fitment. You might be able to hack it of nicely.

it's just a plastic tube, but it sort of has a Z shape to it, it isn't a straight tube. They should really call it a squiggle tube. It should probably work. It has a squiggle shape to get around the RWD orientation of the vq and to get to the spot at the front of the car for the intake scoop

UPDATE: I recently purchased a Z-tube because I thought about doing this same thing. The results are in: The Z-tube will NOT work without a battery relocation. The main portion of the z-tube is too long and will not accomodate the MAF and filter. I thought about "trimming" some of it off, but then I wouldnt have the part on there theat the ring clamp tightens to.

So if you already have your battery relocated or are dead set on using a Z-tube, then you'll be ok.
