Low budget piggyback called the UAFC!

There is a company called 14point7 that makes budget wideband and super cheap fuel control products. The UAFC is in beta testing right now.

Yes, you do have to build the thing and solder quite a bit, but I'd say that it is worth it.

Here are some features from right off the website ( 14point7.com )

Product Features:

* Works with 0-5v MAP/MAF sensors
* 256 point (16 MAP vs 16 RPM) correction table
* Room to store three 256 point correction tables
* Real-time selection of correction table
* Resolution of 60 RPM
* Works upto 15000 RPM
* 0-5v and 0-12v RPM pickup
* Two 0-5v external channel input
* Real-time Datalogging
* Onboard EEPROM for storing up-to 27 minutes of Datalogging @ 10 samples per second
* USB connectivity

Looks like a pretty good solution for me. Combine this with their wideband and I'd say that is a decent fuel tuning setup.

Awesome price, grab it before they figure out everything and jack up the price.

"all components included for $25."

I just bought a vafc2, but I would get this over a more expensive "piggy back" ;this will be great in the future.

Well I got my email from Alan telling me that he has my kit ready to ship but after reading up on the UAFC I dont think it will work for me since I have a BBMAF. From what I gather the UAFC doesnt have a way to correct the "Hot Wire" signal which is an absolute MUST for a BBMAF. Rather than waste a spot as a BETA tester I emailed him my dilema so hopefully some one else can make good use of it. So unless Alan gets back to me with a solution it wont work for people running a BBMAF, just gonna have to wait back to hear from him.

Sorry for the DP but after talking with Alan from 14point7 the UAFC can work for me with a BBMAF. Also it will have no problem data logging using the output of my Innovate LC1 WBO2, sent my payment last night. Will update when my Kit arrives.

Since putting in my request for a UAFC kit I began evaluate what I would need for mods in the future and a simple A/F controller wasnt it. I pulled the trigger on a Emanage Ultimate yesterday morning and my UAFC kit arrived the night before.

I still want this kit to have a good home with some one who is willing to test it out. I really think this is an awesome option for some one needing a simple A/F tune for NA mods and I would hate to see this kit go to waste. Be for-warned, it is an absolute MUST to be comfortable with soldering components to a circuit card and able to read and comprehend an electronic schematic.

If your interested please PM me and I will send it to you for the $25 that 14point7 sold it to me for. Serious offers only, I would really like to see some one get this who will actually use it (unlike me ).

Even though I have a VAFC2, I'm pretty interested. I have one of their wideband products, if I could combine the two and datalog that would be great. Only thing about this I am curious about though, is does it take any readings from the throttle position sensor with the ability to create different maps depending on wide or narrow throttle like the VAFC?

Anyone have a long tern review with the 14point7 slc ?

Im also looking at the Innovate LC1 , but I read in some threads it requires additional software for data logging while in the add on ebay and on the innovatave wedsite it says software is included ?

It comes with a CD with the software. Plus it is available for download on their website.

All you need is a computer with a serial port or a USB port and a USB-SERIAL adapter.
