95 Maxima CYL 1 will NOT fire. Please help, need car!

Hello,

I have a 95 maxima with 79k. it ran amazing until this morning. cyl 1 will not fire. replaced coil with brand new. Still will not fire. Plugged cyl 3 harness into "bad" cyl 1 coil, and it fired the coil. I use a test light and it lights up the red wire, with the ignition on. im going to search this forum, i need the car! please help!

thank you

it does have a code for the knock sensor p0325, but i think its because its knocking due to a dead cyl

Well if u plugged cylinder 3 harness into coil 1 and it fired then that means that cyl 1 harness is busted. Jus clip the wires and rewire or hit the JY or parts store for another coil harness

is the harness being busted a common thing? should i just go to the JY and pull a cut a new harness and splice it on?

if the cyl1 injector was shot, the coil would still fire right? i pulled the coil and plug out and started it, and the plug did NOT fire.

It sounds like to me that u are not getting signal to that harness. If u have already replaced the cyl 1 coil (with a NEW one) and the plug still does not fire that its an electrical issue. Meaning a wire shorted out somewhere. I would proceed to the harness and check resistance across the terminals for a short. See if u can rewire it. If that dont work then the wire shorted out somewhere. If that is the case then your best bet would be to trace that wire back to the origin, clip, and re-wire

The injector should be fine.
