ECU 05 05

What trips the 05 05. Big relief that it means nothing is wrong, but I don't understand what sets if off??

Speaking of ECU's & there of, my newly acquired '95 has this "piggyback" Apex i fuel computer hooked up to it. The display is in the glove box, and everything has been pre set by the previous owner (member). What does this thing do? The engine is an 80k vq30 with y pipe, hi flow cat, lightened flywheel, cold air int. & a 3.5 variable int. manif. The car (eng.) runs fine, very driveable. Am pleased with it so far. The car purportedly dynoed at 226.

I reset the 5-5 and a couple of starts later got a triple code, front 02, ks and rear or cat o2. I presume replacing the front will clear all 3? I changed the front which also had a ks code then, about 30000 mi ago.

I was wrong about the 3.5 intake. Now I know only '00-'03 versions fit.

Thank me later. Im really surprised you even bought the car without researching its mods first.

Just call it intuition. I don't think I've bought a loser used car yet, although some were better than others.

I like how you create a little suspense there. It's like a cliffhanger that makes me what to check this thread tomorrow and read the OP's response. The ellipsis just adds to the effect. Bravo!
