02 Maxima auto

Went to the track last Sunday to run my Auto 02 maxima. It was pretty end moment so didn't prepare the car for it. Car had a full tank of gas, and had the spare and all.

Mods: FC intake and BOP
Weighed in at 3440 IIRC

2nd run was my PB. Tire pressure at 28psi. Best trap and 1/4 time.
R/T: -.026
60': 2.461 (I know its horrible, I need better tires and a better track)
330: 6.426
1/8: 9.719
MPH: 75.04
1000: 12.534
1/4: 14.930
MPH: 94.14

Best R/T and 2nd best 1/4 time. Tire pressure: 26psi (stopped after that)
R/T: .001
60': 2.371
330: 6.418
1/8: 9.729
MPH: 74.80
1000: 12.554
1/4: 14.960
MPH: 93.77

Overall I was content with my times because it's faster than the maxima I had before and that had an exhaust, intake, block off plate. And I know theres def. room for improvement!

cool, and im sure if you was to get rid of those wheels while racing you'd probebly have been a 14.7 car

What tires? Did they respond to the burn-out/warm-up?

Nice runs! Did you leave it in D or shift manually?

Nice videos. No matter what time you run, it's always a good feeling to run faster than the car next to you. How's your trans holding up?

Dont even need to burn out on street tires...

shifting manually has worked best for me, but if you ask that question to the massive you will be more confused than before you ask, my recomendation is try both and which one works best for you stick with it

They're called Runway.. I got them for a killer deal so can't complain.

Thanks, first run I left it in D and it shifted at around 6000 rmp from 1st to 2nd and ended up running 15.2 (car was heat soaked as well).. shifting manually worked out better for me

Thanks! Yeah unfortunately, I was one of the slowest car at the track that day lol.. Not sure what was wrong with that GT but he couldn't get traction at ALL! Transmission is alright, sometimes shifts hard going into second but I think a drain and refill will change that

krzy... here's a tip... next time you go to the track lower your tire pressure to 20psi, and use preferably 16" wheels

lol, you slapped that Mustang owner around, and just about nailed a perfect light. They should have slipped you a 20 or bought you a coke ----> .001 sweet. Nice looking Maxima !

Nice runs, like Grand said get rid of those rims and a few other pointers. Go with a 1/4 tank or little more and get your 60' down you will be a mid 14 car trapping 96 ish like me. I'm totally stock and have learned how to launch this mug like hell and I just leave it in drive, my car has always been strong stock. I'm going to run it and the Z again next week to see what I can muster if the weather cooperates

Not bad times, but even on a poorly prepped track with bad tires 2.46 can be improved upon..I did 2.2's all day on near bald Eagle RS-a's with 40 psi in them..

stock 02 or 03 at Gateway international this past friday night ran 15.0@91. MPH seemed a bit slow to me. His 60' was 2.28 which isn't too bad either.
