Replacing valve cover gaskets

Replacing valve cover gaskets

I am going to be replacing my vc gaskets soon, can somebody give me a list of everything else I need, like intake gaskets and what not,thanks.

10 or 12MM socket. a screw diver for the rear VC, a 8MM for the front. you'll also need a allen wrench to get the engine cover off.
your going to need a new TBgasket because the stock one is paper type.
if your going the rear you might as well buy a knock sensor and just take the LIM off and install that while you have everything else off and out of the way

If you are going to do the rear cover gasket, you will need to take off the UIM (upper intake manifold). Org member ATTappman did a nice thread with pictures on 7-26-2009 titled "Removing Upper Intake Manifold (UIM) w/pics".

Make sure you keep track of those little "hats" that go around the bolts in the valve cover.
