GREAT PICS! You almost don't need instructions with those!

If you don't have access to an air chuck/air compressor, what would you recommend for getting the pistons out?

(Should be stickied when you get done, too.)

If you dont have a compressor, you could try by pumping brakes until the piston is released. But this will be messy and you will be able to do only one side.

A lot easier with the compressor. Be very carefull when applying pressure, the piston will shoot as a bullet if you go to hard on the air nozzle. Make sure to put a wood piece to protect and retain the piston. Watch your fingers!

I could not find another way to get the new boot on the piston, the compressor is a must for this rebuild I would say.

Price for the rebuild kit from nissan is 57 CND, so I guess you could get it for 40 ish in the states.

For those who are wondering what am I doing with the spindle assy on the bench, it is beacause I am rebuilding the entire suspension and swapping to ES bushings.

Well done!

Are you planning to swap to 6th gen BBK in the future? I've done the swap (I own a 5th gen) to 6th gen brakes and it's day and night!

Keep up the good work!

Well actually, I will keep this brake setup for a while. When maintain in excellent shape, it brakes as new and it is sufficient for my daily driving.

Front Suspension mods

Like your front suspension bushing mods. Do you have it installed yet to describe if it changes the ride quality (to harsh with these bushings vs rubber bushings?).

Thx

And I am also considering dropping the subframe to do a bit of clean up and maintenance.
