Thinking of parting 96' GXE(WY)
Parting 96' GXE(WY)
Our son wrecked his Maxima and they are considering it a total. I'm thinking of parting it out but would like to gauge what interest there would be in it first to see if it would be worthwhile. He ended up running into the back of a pickup and hit the guys receiver hitch. It took out most of the hood area and the grille area including the radiator and A/C condensor. Here are some pics. Let me know what you might need so I can decide if it will be worth my time to do this.
Thanks

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that's still worth fixing. Looks like some bent metal under the hood, but a good junkyard should set you up well for around $500 and a weekend worth of replacing parts assuming the overall frame is still in good shape.
The body shop said it was a total loss. I'll get the estimate tomorrow. It looks like I would need a hood, radiator support, bumper cover, bumper mounting bracket, radiator, A/C condenser, grille, hood, cooling fans, headlights, and maybe some other parts. He basically went under the guys truck and his receiver hitch pushed everything behind the grille back against the engine. It also looks like the bumper is bent backwards as well.
shop around thats WICKED high for a fix, a hood shouldnt be more than 350 painted radiator is like 100 bucks rad support complete is 40 bucks from certifit headlights you can get on craigslist pretty cheap im sure bumper cover is 100 new plus paint so 200 look more into it before junkin the car
