Swirl Valve Questions

Well, I got the P1130 swirl valve solenoid CEL the other day. This is the second time its happened in 2 years. The first time I paid to have it fixed and I cant afford to do that again. I'm good with working on cars, but theres a problem....I have no clue what part I need to replace. Through searching, I've read that you can disconnect and plug one of the vacuum lines to prevent the valves from working or whatever and I think thats what I want to do so I dont have to deal with this again.

Heres a picture of where I think the swirl valve and all the related lines are located, but I could be wrong. If someone could tell me what I have to disconnect/plug/replace, that would be amazing as I;m due for an inspection!

youve got it. but even if you do unplug and cap the vacuum line you'll still have a cel.

What part needs to be replaced to clear the CEL?

You don't need a part to turn it off. You will need an OBDII scan tool to take it off. Just ask Autozone to turn your CEL off for you.

The CEL will more than likely come back if the solenoid is still broken.

I think you stated the that needs to be replaced in your first sentence, the swirl valve solenoid.

That picture shows the swirl valve vacuum actuator.

You need to find the electronic solenoid, which is the switch that puts vacuum to the actuator valve in your picture.
