Replacement help for my 30

I recently have purchased a 95 30 to go in my car.. basically its just the block, no pulleys or anything and they cut the harness.. i dont know squat about it other then i paid 200 for the motor.. the crank turned and i didnt see much wear and tear other then the fact the timing casing seem to have had a leak. the motor in my car now is the second motor and i have no idea the history on it. It was in it when i bought the car, the motor blew up, blew a rocker arm threw the rear of the motor (not oil pan) i have no idea how to completely remove this engine. I've been searching and searching and found out the EGR and mani are different I would love to see a right up to swap these so i dont through codes.. Please help.. I'm located in Columbia SC if anyone wants to help i have all the tools and things we need. I just need to get this thing running NOW.

Try the regional forums and see if you can get some help there maybe. The I-30 is the same as a Max, so .... where's the problem? You have a 96' Maxima? and a 95' I-30 engine? Am I getting this right? You could easily swap out the mainfold (exahust I am gathering since you mention EGR) and that'd be that. You'll need to use your current harnes as well ... from the sounds of it. ECU should still be fine, so no worry there. I don't know what to tell you on the R+R other than 'just do it'. I'm not sure how mechanicly inclined you are, but you mention having the tools / area to make this happen, so if need be - hit one of the local shops, pull the first tech you see aside and say "hey, I need your help on the side, interested". Chances are they will jump at the chance to do side work, most will in most cases. If not, get the next guy and so on. All I can tell ya, good luck.
