need some wiring help

i need some wiring guru's help

first of all ...i've learned alot here in the org and i don't even have a maxima

im about to install a vq30de into my s13 and im not using a/c,p/s or any other stuff like EGR,EVAP well not even IACV ,so my question is ..to eliminate all of the unused wires on my engine harness ,i have spliced the entire vq30 harness and see that some of them are going to the same place in the case of sensors that need 12v+ or ground ...can i just cut the wires i don't need

i'm sorry if my english is not that good but my first language is spanish and i'm in mexico

As long as you dont cut the wires going to the other sensors, you are find to remove the 12v wires. I would leave the grounds and place them in various parts of the engine bay

You should be fine to cut any wires leading to a component of one of the aforementioned systems (a/c, p/s, EGR, EVAP, IACV) Just make sure not to cut any of the important wires (MAF, TPS, crank POS, crank REF, cam POS, injectors, coils, O2 sensors, Absolute pressure, ECTS, KS, fuel pump, etc.) Also, tape up or shrink wrap the ends of the unused wires so the can't make contact with anything. You are going to have a bunch of codes, so maybe don't hook up the MIL either.

Yeah, if you want, just push out the unused contacts from the plug. Just be sure to release the locking mechanism first. And then you'll have to release the tab on each contact.

Tyco Impul-Lock Connector Instructions.

As for the Map/Baro sensor, from the FSM:

"The absolute pressure sensor is not directly used to control the engine system. It is used only for on broad diagnosis."

What intake manifold are you using? I'd use the 00vi if possible.

thanks for the tip ajm8127,im goin to post a pic when i finish my wiring now with out a map/baro sensor(i could'nt find it on the FSM or i just suck at searching througth the FSM)..

as for intake manifold ...i can't use any FWD designed IM so its going to be a custom manifold with Pathfinder TB .

Map/Baro sensor info is on page EC-110 of the '97 FSM at least. It's under a section titled "Absolute Pressure Sensor".

i would like an ls swap but that is going to be more expensive,i think i could boost the vq30 for less than 3k(including engine, tranny, turbo and other stuff) except an ECU tune

Pin 24 runs directly to the ignition switch from what I can tell. Pin 4 is the coil (signal) to the ECCS relay. Other than that, it looks good.
