im looking to repaint my car a deep purple and im thinking that ill probably do either white wheels or maybe silver. it would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me out with this. here is what im pretty much going for coloe scheme wise..

yeah i just want my car to stand out but flow well so i think ill just stick with the deep purple and the white.

The purple makes me think it looks like a pimp mobile rather than a maxima... I vote keep the red, looks great lol

 

well the color is gonna be a midnight purple, not pimp purple and the white wheels will make it strait JDM Yo!! thats how Cali does it.

actually this is the exact color ill be painting my car and the wheels will be power coated white to ensure no chipping from all the cleaning ill have to do.. color is burple base with a copper red to grean color shift mid, then clear

 

i agree the purple is a bit much, the red looks normal but still catches the eye

 

NAW bro lose the red. Paint it tha purlpe-grey color and white the rims. Look waaaaaaaay betta IMO

Don't get me wrong I love my maxima and the red color that it is but itts time for a change and evolving my car to the next level. More people are starting to paint their maximas some color of red and I don't wanna be like the rest. Nobody has a purple maxima and the color purple isn't the one photoshoped it's going to be a midnight purple. Trust me once you see the final product you will all agree that I made the right choice in colors and if not your opinion doesn't matter to me haha

mariosmax had already posted the link to YoNsTar's album containing pics of his purple people eater.

 

That color is nice, but reminds me of the Kameleon paint that was real popular back in the day...


However I do think a nice purple with white wheels is going to look killer.
It will be different, and its nice to see that some people are still thriving to be so.
BTW, your S14 is hot. Love that color combo.

 

i know i wont be the first to do purple but his color is purple crush.. its purple with a pink pearl in it. im going to the R33 midnight purple color (LP2) i just want to original in the rebirth of my car. doing a full black interior swap with white carbon fiber goodies. new 3.5 swap w/6spd and a rmt as well. i love my maxima and will always dare to be different and step away from the rest.

as for my 240 i really wanted my car to stand out and bring peoples attention to how the car moves.. the color is a white base with a gold pearl and the wheel color i had custom made. i do all the work and paint myself so a lot of thought goes into the choices i make.

 

that purple is a hot color .

 

^this purple...idk y but its a lot more eye catching than that R33 midnight purple...but then again you said you didn't want anything that screams look at me, so i guess its all gud

 

i like that color but you have to undertand the culture behind the cars... us 240 owners car get away with just about any color as long as it looks clean. i really do like that purple and havent decided on an exact purple yet.. kind of want it in between that purple above me and the on on the R33

I really wanted my new wheels to have a deep concave but I just couldnt deal with having a wheel that pokes out.


Put the wheels back on, snap pics and have them photoshop the cars exterior again with various shades of purple....
