Does anyone know anything about tranny swaps?

If so, I have a 5th gen and I am automagic but the magic just isn't there and I want a 5 speed. Is this possible and if so what do I need to do it right and about how much are all of the parts going to cost me. Any one with knowledge on this topic please post and let me know thanks!

Blake, why don't sell your car and get the new '02 6spd Maxima? A tranny swap is possible, but more often then not, it's a pain in the butt to do.

You have a good point. However, when selling an used car, everyone lose money someway or another. I know that when I sell my car, I will lose quite a bit on the resale value. Although, I won't be too sad once I get my hands on a 300ZXTT.

Selling car...

I have actually been looking for a used 5 speed 2k or 2k1 that is somewhere close and I wasn't even being picky, but I have not been able to find one. Plus I drove the new 02 6 speed and it is too many gears I really don't care for it. I really like the 2k and would love to just have a 5 speed one. Also I have all of the fiberglass stereo work and everything that I would have to sacrifice if I sell the car.($2000) I have done alot of thinking and I am still, I want to go faster but I want to do it right. Options: 5 speed, S/C, More N2O, or Air ride and just go for show and forget about going faster.
