Has anyone used these on their car? I'm looking into them for the fact my stock hangers are worn and need to be replaced, and I would like something that will keep the exhaust system from major movement. Or can someone tell me the sizes of each hanger and I will order them and test them out!

You could save the money and just zip tie your current ones. Works just as good if not better then the poly ones and will hold well over time. I don't have any pictures, but you zip tie the outer perimeter of the hanger so that it holds it's shape even when weight is applied to it.

 

I've never heard of anyone wearing out their exhaust hangers!

 

thats odd. so your saying that they never go bad after 8 years of use, weather change, and a new exhaust change? I've seen and heard of plenty hangers getting worn and needing swapping out!

 

In 35 years of driving and owning probably 60 different cars and trucks, I've never messed with exhaust hangers. Do they make a lot of noise or something when they wear out? Maybe it's because I've always lived in So Cal, where we have no winter.

 

they will sag/stretch out and you might hear your exhaust hit against you heat shield, lower control arm etc

 

I've replaced them in my b13 with poly ones from kartboy.com Its mostly Subaru ones, but they made a special run for us on the sr20 forums. I'm replacing the exhaust and am going to try it with 3 leftover ones I have laying around. Hopefully, they are the right size. Made a world of difference, exhaust swaying is eliminated, and no banging around when rockin and rollin. Yes, they do wear out in a way. The rubber does stretch over time...... My 2 cents.....

 

I wouldn't say 8 years would do much but I'm sure couple more years would sag them up, I personally just changed my muffler and mines looked just fine for an 02 maxima and I'm pretty sure they were stock...

 

Easiest solution, and even better than zipties is wormgear clamps. That's how I cheated on my exhaust. Haven't had any issues since.

 

Zip ties suck... Plumbing clamps do the job.

I am using it and recommend it as well. Go to homedepot and buy a pack. No more sound from hitting the rear beam.

Hose clamps.

 

 

Those worm clamps are going to rust and snap before the year is out.

If you're going to settle on clamps, get some t-bolts.

 

I thought this was a C-clamp?

 

Its been 6 years since I've had mine on.
