What is my Maxima worth?

Looking to possibly sell the Maxima but wondering what these things are worth these days.

The car is a 2000 Se, 130k, auto, Tokiko illuminas, H-Tech springs, Stillen Front strut brace, 2002 HID's, Warpspeed SFC's, Stillen Rear sway bar, 100% Dynamat Extreme wrapped, Stilen front lip, BBS RS2's 18 x 8.5 wheels with PS2's. there are a few other goodies on the car and it's in good condition. All stock parts included. Is this thing worth $4,500?

BTW, things that have been replaced: Starter, 1 cat, coilpacks, 1 cv joint and 1 front lower control arm (bushing was a little torn).

If I were you, I'd put all the stock parts that you have back on the car, then sell all your mods and the car separately. I imagine you'd probably be losing a good chunk of money selling it as is with the mods on it especially with the BBS's.

If I parted the car and sold the lights, swaybar, strut bar, grounding kit ($240 retail), and the wheels, I could probably get another $1,000 from the parts.

If someone was interested in the car as is, I'd rather just sell it and move on. At this point in my life, I've got a full plate and probably wouldn't get around to parting it. I've got another fun car and this has just turned into my daily to work and back.

The problem in selling it fully modded is the average buyer wonder HOW the car was driven. Lots easier to sell a Maxima that was driven by Grandma to the store just to get catfood, than one that was driven by a boy racer who tached it to redline twice a day.

I mean, which one would you rather buy?

If you are going to retail it on your own or trade it in, put it back to stock and sell your mods on the side.

$4500 just doesn't seem right for your car... based solely on your freaking gorgeous sig photo. Now, it may have been beaten with an ugly stick since that photo was taken, but based on this picture: beautiful.

Put it in the FS forum for $6000, and work your way down if you have to. Word to the wise... if you do that, delete this thread.

Check Craigslist. And you will do bettter by selling your mods separately.

Sell it on the org. You are more likely to find someone who wants a pre-modified car on here. Or try craigslist...

I'd say with that mileage $4500 would be a fair price. But I agree with the condition that nice, remove the mods and list it for $6000 obo... then see what kind of offers you get.

first of all, when the person comes to see the car and the owner, they'll realize that the car wasn't beaten, especially when they see the other cars in the stable. It's just time to move on and someone is going to get a great deal.

I would rather sell it with all the mods on it as it's easier for me to just move on, then to try and scrape every penny out of the car. It won't kill me to lose a couple of grand on the sale.

That being said, keep your opinions coming. I really appreciate them and you guys just may sway me. I am not going to sell the car for $6,000. I want to give a good deal to someone so I can get the good karma back on my next car.

BTW, the car looks as good today as it did when I took my sig pic. changed out the headlights to new OEM HIDS without those stupid DDE's. What was I thinking?

putting it back to stock cost $$$ and you sell it for less all to make the exact same amount of $$$, just a waste of time... the hassle isnt worth about $200 overall... ive thought of it before

While I'm in Ohio & it'd be a ridiculous drive, I'd be interested in that car for $4500

The body kit is no longer on it. The only thing I kept was the Stillen front lip. I didn't like all that cladding on the car. It' just made the car look like it was trying too hard to be a cool car, so I mellowed it out a bit. I also took off the OEM HID's with the omnitza's DDE's and replaced them with new stock unaltered OEM HID's.

I can post up some pics tomorrow night. All the pics of his car are on my wife's computer and she is currently on it.

I want to say that the offset is a +40. I'll have to double check.

What other cars are in your stable now? Took a quick look at your cardomain and noticed that you used to own a nice clean foxbody that you may have had since new or near new... too bad you didn't keep it, as clean foxes are hard to come by these days.

$4500 should make her go quickly with the mods - I understand where you are coming from about not wanting to hassle. At some point in life, the relatively little money and hassles aren't worth it compared to the bigger picture you are involved in.

Maybe the market is great down here in Georgia, but I posted my car for sale for $5,999 and got around 15 calls/emails (and a trade request for a '96 Cobra) within a week. Mine is a 2002 with 162,000 miles and a leaking power steering hose too.

I think you could get quite a bit more for your car.
