Umnitza Orion v2 Wiring Install Help

Hello Dearest Friends,
I would first like to say if this has been posted already please forgive me, I did multiple searches with none that had the same wiring that I have. I looked on Shiftice but that kit differs from mine and I can't seem to figure out how to wire this correctly.

I purchased this kit and I have started to put it into my headlights but i can't seem to figure out how to wire the angel eyes. I called Umnitza and never received a call back :-|.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch guys!

The white and yellow wires are "trigger wires". Basically, you only NEED to use one, but they give you the option of 2. You just wire the trigger wire up to a switched 12V power source and when there's 12V running through the trigger wire, it signals the relay (the little black cube) to draw power from the battery. Quite simple. Now you just need to decide how you want to power the trigger wire. It just depends on what method you want to use to determine when the V2s are on. I have my trigger wire extended into the cab and tapped in to my cig lighter power. That way, the V2s are on whenever the ignition is on. I also put a hidden switch in line with that trigger wire so I can turn the V2s off if I want to (never actually do though...)

Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh, and I have no idea what that little white box is. My V2s didn't come with that... I thought that branch was for the driver's side angel eyes and the long branch was for passenger side? I dunno.

Don't mind that white box, it does connect to the angel eyes I just disconnected them cuz i installed the angel eyes already on the driver side headlights. Thank you very much for that explanation! I will give it a try. I've been dying to see what they look like :P

I am trying to have the angel eyes hooked up with a SPDT switch as per the tutorial on Shiftice.

Perhaps i'm doing something wrong but I just hooked up everything and i ran the white trigger wire to the parking lights and left the yellow trigger wire disconnected but it didn't work. Any ideas?

No idea. That's how my V2's were set up. If I were you I'd probably just try different things on the battery (hold different wires to the positive terminal and see which combination works haha). Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Well, all that came on my v2 kit was the angel eyes themselves and the little white box that they plug into. I called Umnitza and they said that a wiring harness does not come with the Maxima kit??? I just wired the white and brown wires to my fog lights so that they come on with them. They seem to work fine, so I don't know

What would be the point of the white box then? Does that Relay help the lights somehow? Please forgive me as I am electrically challenged.

Side note: Can someone please PM me how to remove my passenger side headlight, I believe it has Data Dots security but I am not sure, i pulled very hard without it coming out. Thank you!

I think the white box is not a relay. It's just a sort of harness that the angel eye wires plug into. The white boxes that came with mine are the same that came with yours, but I have no idea how the rest of that wiring harness works. I don't know why they would send different kits to different people. Umnitza has a good product here, but they need to send everyone the exact same thing and instructions so there is not this kind of confusion

Splice both yellow and white wires to a 12V power source. IMO they are both "spark" wires. The yellow wire is FOR SURE a spark wire for the relay hence the fact that it runs to the relay. If that wasnt connected to a 12V source then that would explain why your lights didnt work.

I appreciate the help I will try it out tonight and give you some feedback. I didn't think it would be so difficult.

Where would you suggest I connect both the two trigger wires? I hooked both the trigger wires to the parking lights and it worked like a charm. Thanks for all the help!

I have also recently purchased the Orion V2s and have recieved the same kit as the one in the picture. I was wondering if I was just able to hook both trigger wires to the parking lights for the moment (like 'rooney' has done) and then later on when it gets warmer in the Spring or Summer, to hook up one of the trigger wires to a spdt switch? Or is it the case that once I hook both trigger wires to the parking light, I won't be able to hook it up later to a switch?

^^^ Just hook one up and leave the other one taped somewhere until you decide to use it.

But, didn't 'rooney' say just a few posts above that his halos were not lighting up when he didn't connect one of the trigger wires?

I also have an additional question concerning hooking up the halos to a switch. Since the halos already have an extra trigger wire, I'm guessing the dde switch 'how-to' from 'housecor' would differ slightly from this 'new Orion V2 kit'.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my guess is that one of the trigger wires will stay on the parking light, while the other trigger wire goes to the switch. The second wire going to the switch will be one that 'splices' into the green/white wire on the parking light and the third wire would be the one hooked up to a 12V source?

Marvin i have both my trigger switches hooked up to my parking light for the moment, until winter's over and it's not so cold I will be rewiring it up to a switch. Sorry for the late response!

Sorry, haven't had time to read all the details on this, but wanted to chime in based on the photo.

WHITE = primary trigger, go off either Accessory for DRL option, or parking light to get them on with first click switch.

YELLOW = secondary trigger, go off either interior fade lights, or something that fades on and off with the interior lights, so when you unlock the car, your angel eyes will fade on and off.

Would you happen to know the exact wire that is the interior fade light? Or would anybody else know which one it is?
