Mufler/Exhaust Bolt Question - Size?

Does anybody know how what type/size bolts I should be using to connect the muffler to the exhaust piping? I would typically have the old bolts to base this off of, but the bolts actually rusted apart and broke causing the muffler to fall off in my driveway...

Thanks guys!

I would just take the muffler into lowes and buy some standard bolts that fit through the two holes, some lock washers, some nuts.

This. As long as it's a tight fit you shouldn't have any problems.

On my 99, the center pipe had studs welded on to the flange where it meets the rear muffler pipe, which of course snapped off when trying to remove the nuts.. had to grind the broken studs flush with the flange, then drill holes and use bolts/nuts to fit the hole I drilled...

I used some 3/8"-24 SS hardware from "Ace Hardware", ss bolts, nuts, lockwashers and flat washers over 7 yrs ago and they're still down there doing their job
