Bank 2 Pre-Catalytic Converter Replacement
Bank 2 Pre-Catalytic Converter Replacement
Has anyone successfully replaced the Bank 2 (radiator side) pre-cat with using the OEM gaskets?
I purchased an Eastern Cat (40387) and its not going to work (as some threads have concluded already) with the OEM gaskets. I am trying to find if any after market manufacturers make an actual direct replacement cat, identical to the factory one.
On DiscountCatalyticConverters.com, I found an "EvanFischer" brand cat that looks like it doesn't have the ring in the middle that the Eastern has which causes it not to work. Anyone ever tried this one?

Anyways, I'd still like to know if anyone has successfully installed an aftermarket cat with the OEM gaskets and/or tried to EvanFischer cat.
Need to switch my front pre cat was going to order that Eastern one but in Cali and don't want nothing to happen, going to get headers soon so I don't have to deal with it and waste money seen a Magnaflow one that was 50 state legal...but my friend said just gut.the.front one and as long as I have the Fastcat you should pass smog but who knows...
