From reading around and doing a lot of searching seems to keep the same diameter with 20" wheels as opposed to the stocks you are going to need to run 245/35/20 tires. That'll keep you right around 26.5-27" overall diameter. Also it seems as most wheels with the 5x114.3 bolt pattern come in at anywhere from 38-42mm backspacing depending on width and whether they are wheels for a staggered stance.

I personally am looking at going with 20x8.5 wheels (maybe 20x8.5 up front and 20x10 in rear). Wheels i will most likely go with are the Enkei Razr wheels seen here...

Weight of these wheels and Nitto N555 tires is right around 52-53lbs which is only 1-2 lbs more than stock...

I am also thinking about sticking with 18's to save about 5lbs on the rolling mass of each wheel which when equated is like taking off 120lbs on the body (5lbs reduced x 4 wheels x 4 or 6 constant=80-120lbs). How many mpg would that be, IDK...

yes sir, personally staggering would have made no sense, obviously for the fwd, and the added weight on bigger rims and tires in the rear is only going to slow down the car that much more and I'm already borderline happy with the performance

This thread has been VERY helpful so thank you to everyone who has posted. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on 20's staggered with 20x10 for the rear and wanted to see what size rear tires others went with and how much clearance they had left (or didnt have because of rubbing)

Thanks in advance!

Here is a bit more information since my last post. Below is a pic of the wheel but my Maxima is black so I'm going to get a non chrome version that has a machined edge with black interior paint. The chrome is a little too much "bling" for me.

The 20x10's come as a 25mm or 42mm offset so Im thinking I have to get the 42mm correct???

Here is a video of the exact wheel im looking at. They are shown being put on a Houston Texans football players car.

First maxima question.

Hello, I recently purchased my first Nissan Maxima, it’s a 2009 SV. I’m trying to find some wheels, and eventually get eibach sport springs to go a little bit lower. I found some 20” wheels locally. I have no idea what the “ limits” of maximas are as far as wheel width ( staggered) and offsets. Any help would be appreciated on wha I can do comfortably without rubbing.

The tires that are on the wheels are 245/30 & 295/45
will these fit? He’s getting the wheel width for me. But he thinks they’re 9.5 front and 10.5 rear. Will this fit?
