2000 rpm limit on 95 Se

I see the MAF and CTS could cause this. Is there any other sensors I need to check that cause the engine to go into fail safe mode where it only revs to 2000 rpms?

Thanks!

The only ECU code I got was 11 (CPS) which didn't even turn the light on. I only found it from pulling the codes...

Usually it wont throw a code unless you drive around for a little while with it like that. Try the CPS though, if that is the code its throwing.

Change that CPS. If that doesn't solve it, check your MAF.

It was the CTS...the CPS error code comes up now and again but for an unrelated reason.

I was searching and saw someone mention that their fans where on all the time in addition to the rev limit and tested their CTS and it was bad. After swapping the car didn't rev limit at 2000 rpms anymore. Mine did the exact same thing as theirs...and is now fixed after swapping the CTS just as they did.

Thanks!
