shell charge $7/gal during tsunami scare

It's been reported to me that the shell station in Florence Oregon was chargeing $7.00 per gallon, cash only during the Tsunami evacuation last week. I think everyone should email shell coroprate and ask what they are gonna do about thier Franchise owners practicing this gouging. They were the only station in Florence doin this.

Ran across this form to fill out for Oregon if you suspect price gouging.

Personally I wouldn't use them ever again. If enough stop going to that station maybe it'll shut down or go to new management.

I have stopped using shell completely because of this. I always used shell 93, but everytime gas goes up Shell goes up double what everyone else does

Yeah the local Shell is always the highest by a large margin of the multiple gas stations in this area...

Send them a message by not buying their gas. And tell your friends about it too. Word gets out about these things, and nothing ticks people off worse than people who take advantage of disasters.

I remember during hurricane Ike in Houston. There was this church group that were selling food in a sporting good store parking lot. It was like a simple, average sized hamburger w/ fries. $18 for that! I was annoyed how they were charging that, especially since they're representing a local church . People were paying because all the fast food places and restaurants were closed down.

Shell sucks. They are consistently $.30 higher than everyone else in Portland.
