Any one tried the newer Digital Amps (ie JL)

I am ripping out all the speakers in my 08 max. Hertz hsk 165 comp. in the front and hertz dcx rear doors and JL 6.5 woofers in the back deck... Now I was going to use my older Alpine MRP-F450 for the doors and get a small amp like the polk pa-330 and mount it on the rear deck lid where the tiny little clarion amp is.

Well I was at a local car audio place listing to the hertz I came across a JL 6 ch THAT WAS TINY but was 85w rms x 4 and 150 w rms x 4 on ch 5 n 6..... Im thinking one amp to do it all and its small enough to mount on my back deck lid in the trunk so no one can see it ..... in the words of Archer... AWESOMNESS.......

Any one used these amps yet? Do they run hotter, colder, not as efficient just wondering if any you higher audiophile guys have any input on this????

CORRECTION: I heres the specs on the Jl xd 600

I've got just the JL Audio XD600/1 Mono for my sub, and it's typically ice cold after hours of enjoyable use...

What?

I assume you're talking about the XD600/6. The amp does not do that power rating, it does the following:

Rated Power 14.4 V Stereo: 75W RMS x 6 @ 4 ohms

The point behind the Digital Amps are their efficiency ratings. Heck theres some that are almost 90% Efficient. Which only leaves 10% for Heat.

xd over the PDX, all day. Every time I've installed a PDX I felt like it was weak, and the speaks begged for more... XD, no issues with heat and good power
