Hey Guys, I need help putting my Fogs on
Hey Guys,
I really need some help putting my new fog lamps on my 1994 Maxima. I just bought the Hella 550 Amber Fog Lamps for my car. I don't know what or where to attach them to. Should I take that plastic bar out that is right under the front bumper?
p.s. I do have the wiring harness and everything else I need to put them on the car.
Thanks guys,

I wouldnt take out that whole bar. Cut out a piece towards the outer sections of the bar gib enough to slide the fogs back inside the bumper. Once you get them mounted than the work is easy from there. Just follow the wiring instructions they gave you. Good luck.

It is...
The wires for the fog lamps are doubled over and taped to itself right under the headlights in the open area down there. If you look for it, you'll see them. They're black and they have a brown plug on the end and it's taped to itself with black electrical tape. Use those wires!!!! If you take the panel off where the switch for the fog lamps go, you'll see the wire that plugs into the switch done up the same way that the fog light wires are under the hood. Buy a factory switch (25 bucks) and plug it into the dash wire, fish out the fog plugs from the fender and splice then into your new fogies.
As for your cosmetic surgery, the black bar is perforated where it should be cut. If you look at bar from underneath, you'll see what I'm talking about. I just got a Ginsu knife and cut along that line while the thing was still on the car. Then, I did the same thing for the area where the fogs push back into where the hole should be. Again, I just cut along that line with a Ginsu and it look factory done!
Note: You will have to buy a relay switch for the lights to work (another $20). I put them on myself and they look great! Good luck and make sure that you wire it correctly!
