Insurance: GEICO or Nationwide?

I am getting a nice quote from Nationwide. I have GEICO. Switch or not to Switch?

Any one here has had or knows who has had any problems with Nationwide?

BTW I can save about $140 per 6 months by switching but I am scared of switching. Should I switch?

I don't know about Nationwide.. But I know some of my friends who have had accidents and have Geico. They were taken care of really fast on their claims...

Re: Insurance: GEICO or Nationwide?

I previously had Nationwide but due to cheaper rates elsewhere, I left. Nationwide has special affiliation with the Ohio Farming community so I took advantage of an additional 15% discount by paying $45 yearly for an Ohio Farm Bureau membership. Talk to an agent to find out ways you can lower your bill further...

F.Y.I.:

Nationwide has an A+ Standard & Poor's rating

Gieco has an AAA Standard & Poor's rating

Both are very good solid companies, but Nationwide has more market share.
My guess is they are both very good companies to deal with. You probably can not get good market share if you aren't treating your customers right. Low rates don't hurt either.

NEITHER

Go to an Insurance Broker, I now pay LESS THAN $700 A YEAR , and I'm only 25 years old. I have collision (1000 deduct.) and liability is something like 50,000/100,000.

I've had Nationwide for years and they IL rates just jumped 50% (auto & home). Make sure to shop em.

P.S. I refuse to use Geico because of their anti-radar stance.
