Remote Starters - anyone have a Bulldog?

anyone have a Buldog remote starter? im having a few problems with mine, wondering if anyone else has the problem. it wont start on the first crank usually the 3rd crank. if its my car not the starter.. what would make it crank faster. btw, sometimes when its cranking it, it halfway cranks then dies real fast and tries again- it doesnt sound good when it does that. any help?

Bulldog is BS?

Hey I really don't have much experience with car electronics, but today however I went up to my local Auto FX, to get my Impulse auto-starter installed. They would do it however they couldn't gauruntee it would work, since they never heard of the product. Also, they claimed that the Bulldog starters are junk, however, that could be just sales pitch, but I'd rather take the pro's word for it.

Sorry about the bad news

I doubt it. There made by JBS Technologies and they seem pretty legit. I know a few people on the board have one.

hey bro you met the right person(ehemmmmm.. Me )
well i don't know about your remote starter well ive got Python remotestarter. and it was doing the same for me. it was my car not the remote. i had to actually step on the gas to start it. it won't start from the remote. so i did little search and found TB cleaning. so i went and cleaned it. NO MORE PROBLEM.... this i guarantee you if it's your CAR. but if it's your remote starter i don't know..
this will help you.

Thanks,
Tae

bulldog is crap

I had a bulldog remote starter... I had the same problem with starting, and had a clean TB. I got it to work at one point, but still never used it haha.. now I unwired it from the starter, so it just turns on my "accessory" which is airconditiong, stereo, etc... mainly for my stereo, so I dont have to bein it to have it on (if I want it loud, turn it off and use remote start)

I also love being able to leave my car running , but have no keys in it thanks to the starter... if anyone touches the brake (or shifter in auto) or clutch, it turns it off (without the key being in) if that makes sense... oh well
