Side mirror suggestions??

So many problems and threads about them this past week. On top of my stereo and debadging problems I have just run into yet ANOTHER problem. My driver side mirror was stolen while my car was parked on the street. Just the actual mirror was taken. I don't think it was a hit and run because the housing was not moved really just the mirror was gone. Also, all of the pieces that were holding the mirror in were laying on the ground, but no mirror.

SO, my question is, what should I do about finding a replacement. My maxima is a 1999 and is sterling mist in color (check the sig). My local junkyard has a white one but they are asking for $50 for it. I skimmed the classifieds and couldn't find anything either. All of those JDM "ebay brand" dealers sell the cheap mirrors in pairs with the turn signals in them and I am thinking about going with that.

(see link >> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-99...Q5fAccessories <<)

However, I have no idea how to actually do the installs on those because I don't think they come with an OEM harness to get them power. So what do you guys think? Should I just buy an OEM replacement one thats just black and paint my passenger side mirror black too? I'm really unsure so I would GREATLY appreciate some input from you guys. Just tell me what you would do in my situation. (besides hunt down the person that stole it)

i will say watch ur *** with the ebay sellers on these types of items i had problems getting my mirrors this seller i just posted sent me 3 different mirrors
1 motorised with tinted glass
1 motorised with clear glass
1 non motorised with clear glass and clear turn signal
they refuse to refund me aswell
ebay wants me to uninstall them from my car and send them back for a refund ..that means i have to buy a replacment aswell for the mean time F-that

i replaced mine becuse someone thought it was a great idea to tea off on my mirror while i parked in the street

honestly it took me 10mins per mirror im not sure the colors of the wires on ur car but i can tell u mine and possibly show u pics if u need

NHMAX603, do they work with the OEM power adjustment? If I do wind up getting them, you have to do an install write-up for me :P

will do..!! there is 3 wires for the power motor in the mirror and a pos neg for the blinker u just run the blinker wire into ur fender and to ur blinker its simple when its not dark out ill take pics and do a write up
and yea i just snipped the oem wires and ran them rite to the mirror when i hit the switch up is up down is down left is left and guess what right is right

only reason i didnt go OEM is to be different

ppl here look down upon ebay parts i cant see putting 500$ headlights or 300$ side mirrors on a 1500$ car ebay stuff mabe kinda cheap but it doesnt break the bank my headlights look great and i rather like my mirors too

not quite as cheap, the difference is the LED arrow behind the actual mirror. HOWEVER those illiterate ebay sellers can be a real pain to deal with sometimes. I think I'm going to go with the aftermarket ones rather than getting a new OEM one and painting them both black. They don't look too bad to me, its worth a shot IMO. They are only $40 anyway. Looking forward to that write up

Great info guys. Looking for one as well for my white 99.

Late one night while driving on a lonely narrow back road when I was way too tired, a mailbox jumped outta nowhere and stole my passenger side mirror. Put a nice scratch on my doors too. Called the USPS but they wont replace it.

Will be watchin this thread.

MIRRORS ARE HERE. I did wind up going with the ebay ones (with the blue turn signal). Funny story actually. I have had blue LED h3 foglights in for about 4 or 5 months and they are a very deep blue. Never had a problem with cops around here for them so I figured I would get the blue turn signals in the mirrors. Anyway, the same day the mirrors arrived, I got pulled over for my foglights... I'll install the mirrors anyway though .

Here is some pics of them right out of the box (plus a picture of the reason I had to get these). They look decent, hopefully I will be able to install them without any issues. I'll probably do the install on Sunday. It will probably take me some time too because I don't even know how to get my mirrors off yet...

Enough of that heres the pics

BROKEN MIRROR

FRONT

BACK

WIRES ATTACHED TO MIRROR

WIRES FOR TURN SIGNAL?

MOUNTING BRACKET

BACK 2

So that's it for now. I'll post an update with either the finished product or and issue I'm having on Sunday probably. I'm hoping the black will look okay with my car considering my car color is sterling mist. Wish me luck guys. Let me know what you think of them.
