Headlight/Instrument Light Q's

hey,

i'm thinking of spending a bit of money on my headlights. nothing major, just something a little brighter than stock. i, (being a good little boy) did search thru previous posts for info but never actually found the answer to this question...

if i get a 9004 bulb listed as superblue, or hyperwhite, or super white...should i get a new wiring harness? is that only if i change bulb wattage?

also any folks who have done the 'hyperwhite' instrument light thing...that looks really really nice!!! what bulbs should i look for in case i want to try that out as well?

any tutorials (with pictures =) ) out there for either of these?

thanks a bunch!
