HeadLamp Bulb

I picked up a pair of 9007 Bulbs for a $1. We use 9004 by the manual. What will happen if I install one or both of these in a 97 Maxima?

You have to do the 9004 to 9007 re-wire.

I have them in my 96. There is a good write up in the third Gen forum. Pull two wires out of the plug and swap them.

It's not quite that simple as you also need to take a blade of some kind so that the bulb fits the lamp housing. I agree the 9007's are a bit brighter than the 9004's, but was in a pinch of darkness and had to cave on buying 1 x 9004 vs your swap on wires and all that other work.

I can now sell the 9007's I guess.

Yes there is a bit more work involved, but i was on my phone at work and could not go into much more detail. Also, the benefits are negligible and the light is a little scattered. I like the mod enough I will not change it back, although I would recommend holding out for HIDs VS doing this.
