will an injen CAI designed for a 99 max (VQ30DE) work on the 5.5 gen 3.5? anyone know if the piping/holes will fit?
only asking cause I really can't justify spending so much money on a new cai but my uncle bought a 99 max with it installed and he doesn't want to keep it so I'd be happy to take it, I just don't know if it would be compatible with my 02...
any input is appreciated

It will take some hacking to fit. 4th and 5th gen throttle bodies are in different locations.

 

From reading around Injen's CAI makes the VQ35DE lose alot of torque on the low end due to the long piping and the fact the filter sits right behind the radiator...hardly "cold air" if you ask me. You can build you own custom short ram intake on the 02Max......buy a AEM filter and then some piping from Knightxyz and thats it.......no need to spend all that money...and on top of it you will get better performance.
