Whats the Deal with nismo.com
A guy from nissan who i sell aftermarket parts to when nissan dealers themselves dont have them(they dont want you to know that so shhh) said i could buy performance parts from nismo.com...whats the deal with that....i see no max parts there, only skyline? but he insists...he gotta silly custom exhaust from them and i was just wondering if any of u's got more info
Re: Whats the Deal with nismo.com
from what i can tell, Nissan Motorsports views the maxima as a station wagon or something useless and therefore doesn't make any parts for it. Maybe when they come to the US, they will realize the power the maxima has and the fear it inflicts on honduhs. Then maybe they'll make some parts

Well I kinda like the maxima not having a huge moding support. That way it keeps all the little 16 year old dishwasher boys from ricing out the maxima's. I mean for instance I was at a local fast food joint and I think every kid in there has a civic thats modded out like crazy. Since we have a low demand on modding parts the price is higher but who cares.

It's easy... Someone can give you the link to it.
Or you can just cut the top nipple of the light off
and then insert them in the high voltage place

You can do that mod to all 4th gens. There are three wires. Take the two that are not black and splice them together. One is an 8v the other is 24 or somethin like that. Then they will always be bright.

to make the clearance lights brighter? all the time? does it affect the turn signals at all and have you burned any bulbs yet?

its not bad, what happens is when you turn your turn signal on, the light brightens to 27 watts so you can see the road that you are turning onto. when no turn signal is on it is at 8 watts. so all you are doing is leaving it on 27 watts all the time.

purpose of taking off the nub is so that you can insert the bulb 180 degrees from the original position.
there, i hope that explains it, its kinda late and i just got off work. (washing dishes, BTW)

not that hard, take off the fixture and then pull the bulb harness out. after that take out the bulb. on the metal part under the glass there are two nubs. find the one closest to the glass and grind with a file or cut it off. then put the bulb back in so that it is really bright. (do some experimenting) if the bulb is loose as mine was, simply bend in the harness a little bit so its a snug fit.
