Anybody install their own alarm on a Max?

I was just wondering how hard it was or if I should
just give in and get ripped off on installation
somewhere.

I used to install car alarms, remote starters, and stereos for a living a while back. Alarms are either easy, or hard, depending on the model. The more complex systems (auto-windows-up/down, starter kills, etc) take more time, and also require alot of extra little 3M connectors, wire taps, etc to finish the job correctly. If you haven't ever done it before, don't know how to decipher a wiring diagram for a factory harness (not the radio harness, the whole car harnesses), or not good with electronics, then leave it up to the pros. If you think you want to tackle it, give yourself a good 3-4 hours (since you don't do this every day) to actually do it, and another 1-2 to prepare.
