6.5 regular woofers in the rear deck?
component system normally comes with a pair of woofers. how does it sound with a pair of 6.5 regular woofers in the rear deck of our 4th gen? or is it the only option of our 4th gen is free-air woofers. if that is the case then passengers seating in the rear will hear just the woofers?
Ok man, it depends on how much work u willing to put in.
U can buy a 8" sub for a decent price and they have small footprint. A gen 1 PS3 is bigger than a 8". for the 8", you can get an enclosure or u can cut and mount it in teh rear deck or u can mount it in the space for the back set trunk opening.
OOPS my bad, disregard everything i jus sd. i jus did an ebay SERACH and u can buy 6.5 inch subwoofers. Yeah man jus get those.
But those subs can take like 150 watts rms. your HU will not put out anything near that. It will only put out maybe 20 watts rms. 20 watts rms to a sub is nothing. U will prolly still need an amp

It looks like he just made one ring to mount the woofer and a smaller one to mount to the stock location. Also, it looks like a kicker comp vr from the basket.
+1
Kevlo setup dont look all that difficult to build.
Still, u can buy 6.5 subs so why not just do that with components up front. I would be leery of rattle in the rear deck tho. But if u only using teh HU to power the speakers then the rattle should be miniscule.
