K&N Filters or Generic for intake for 2k2
ok i'm just wondering what you all think, esp those who are interested. 2k2 owners and soon all 5th gens, to what intake cone i should use in my intake's i'm gonna produce. Either Courtesy nissan or similiar of K&N. the K&N's are around 20 bucks more and the cost will be reflected in the price of the intake.

it seems like you guys are leaning towards K/N. so i got appr. prices from a machine shop today and tentative pricing will be as follows.
SHORT RAMS
generic=125
k/n=145
plus shipping.
CONE AND ADAPTER ONLY
generic=65
k/n=85
plus shipping
these may fit all 5th gens. i will know soon enough. and if not i will be the adapter machined for those too.

dmbmaxima88,
it looks like the filter you are using is a generic filter. I have the exact same one sitting on my desk. This is what APC use for their intake.
Also, Rod Millen is selling Generic filter + pipe for 250 bucks USD! That thing gained 8hp on a IS300. So you see, generic filters aren't always bad!

I get some items that fall off trucks.
