Viper or Clifford alarm
Viper or Clifford alarm
Hey guys,
I been wondering if would be worth it to put either a viper or Clifford alarm in my 2012 maxima. My car is stock so there is nothing to lose if someone stile it, but the kids in my neiborhood are being scratching all the cars in the condominium so that's why I'm so concerned.
Would one of this alarms resolve my problem ?
Or it's just a waste of money.
Thanks guys

Not a waste of money at all.....but unless it has a built in force field it won't really keep the hell bent little sh*ts from scratching your car.

Yea Viper and all the main brands are all made by the same companies.
Also it depends what Viper system you're talking about. The VSS systems are complete crap, you can read their reviews online people think they're worthless. The Viper 5901 and 5902 (that I have) are great and can have tons of add-ons. The similar models offered by Clifford etc are great as well.
Now to address your original question. Will adding a Viper 5902 with shock sensors help you prevent your car from being scratched? No. The Viper 5902 adds shock sensors which are triggered by impacts to the car, so scratching most likely would not set that off in my opinion unless they were slamming into it at the same time.
Something to note about Viper is if you buy your parts online you'll void the warranty on it even if it's installed by an authorized dealer. Reason is lots of refurbished parts end up online re-packaged so Viper doesn't stand by any of that. I paid $800 (yes $800, all the quotes around here were 800 and up) for my Viper 5902 to be installed with several add-ons.
