removing connector from corner lights

I am trying to install clear corner lights. I was able to pop out the corner lights and disconnect the two bulbs, however i am having a hard time getting the power connector off. Basicly i can't remover the corner lights without disconnecting this connector. i tried pulling it out, and even squeezing it in different places. It's latched on to the plastic corner light somehow. Does anyone know how to disconnect this? please email me at xxtuzxx@aol.com

thanks

just pull...hard. it won't break, and if it does, eh, that's your last resort anyway.

it's not as easy as pulling hard. It's clicked in there somehow and i can't figure it out. I've tried pulling squeezing and poking. Some must know.

there is a small "button" on one side of the connector. Push down on it while you pull out. It may be hard to push with your finger so try using a flathead screwdriver

good luck

On the subject…

Does anybody know how to permanently get the wires back in the front turn signal assembly? I accidentally pulled the wires out while I was converting to the clearcorners, and I can't get the wire to stay put in there. I know the bulb is getting juice, because it will light up sometimes, but once I try to replace the corner assembly, it stops working. I know the bulb's not blown - it's brand new. The cornering light is fine, it's only the signal light that's inoperable. HELP!!!!

Once I get this fixed, I have another question. For those of you who have done the mod where the cornering lights stay bright when the lights are on, do you get any complaints from other drivers because those lights project pretty well. Also, is there a way of brightening these lights and still having the bright cornering effect when signaling/turning. I like the fact that our cars have this feature, and I don't want to lose it, but the dimmed lights next to the bright driving lights/fogs looks very nasty.

Thanks for your help in advance.
