cant seem to figure it out

long time no see maxima.org,
last time i was on here i owned a 95 maxima and it was ****. im back with a 2004 Infiniti I35 and i love it. stock, clean, and it get so much attention . heres the only issue. the Bose sub cuts out randomly, i cant figure out what the problem is. i thought it was from the amp getting hot and i tried in the morning (it still gets cold in the morning in maryland) and no progress. if i go to the trunk and smack it it it goes *pop* then starts thumping. i plan on installing my system within the next 3-4 weeks but i would like to figure out the problem with this sub until then. any info would be helpful while i surf the forums

Common problem. The soldering points are shot. Not worth fixing. Time to move your install date up...
