14.80 ypipe

Just went 14.80 93 mph with a homemade y-pipe.

97 SE 5-speed
Stock
Homemade y-pipe

I broke out on a 15.00 dial in after I went 15.00 several times in a row.

What does the full timeslip say? This was 'only' ypipe? No slicks?

No slicks, stock street tires set at 22 psi. It really helps.

I launched straight off idle, doing bracket racing.

Dial in: 15.00 17.34
Reaction: 0.178 0.079
60 foot: 2.172 2.438
330 foot: 6.186 7.150
660 foot: 9.521 11.064
1/8 mph: 73.51 62.77
1000 foot: 12.387 14.413
1/4 ET: 14.800 17.273
1/4 mph: 93.53 78.09

I was against a small pick up truck.

I'll be going back to the track several times this fall hoping to break a 14.7x

Very nice 60'...I need to get that low.

Previously in my ex-'99 was a 14.7@94 with a 2.2 60'

My local track is only a 1/8 that's why. I'm hoping to get at least high 9's if I get a good R/T
