I have a 96 max auto. My brother in law has a 00 max 5speed he just bought and is going to replace the clutch. Now he wants to convert his 5 speed to auto and I wanna convert my auto to 5 speed. We are deciding to trade but my question is about converting 5speed to auto. Will it be just plug and play??? There are a bunch of write up for auto to 5speed swap but not the opposite that I have searched. I dont know if the wiring will be the same or not. Sorry forgot to mention that I have a 2000 motor swapped in the 96 max bought it like that. Any help would be great thanks.

 

you shouldn't have any issues. they should both work with each other. just make sure you guys trade ecu's lol

 

u sure about that i heard that there is different wiring harness?

 

Off the top of my head, you will need the AUTO wiring harness,the ecu,brake pedal,shifter and cables,transmission computer and I think that's it. Not a simple swap
