Someone took it upon themselves to attempt a blind turn. The result was a head-on collision with me. Fortunately the speeds were not too bad. Unfortunately my 4th Gen was forced into an early retirement.
I have a highish mileage 2009 G37 now, and I'm beginning to realize how spolied I was with the great community here, members and the companies represented on this forum alike, and I'm surprised to find Haynes does not make a manual for the '09 G37.
Any forum recommendations for the G37? Does anyone make a good manual for the '09 G37? What good parts venders are out there for the G37? (Maybe those last two questions should be asked at the answer to the first.)

Yeah, it's totaled, and they gave me a very fair amount for it too since it was in great condition with only 110k on it. So while I wanted to hang onto it for quite some time since it had a ton of reliable life still in it, I also got a decent amount for it too. I really wanted to buy it back and fix it back up over time with the limited time I do have, but I simply don't have the space to do so.
What I'm really adjusting to is trying to find a new car forum for my G37 and a whole new parts vendor set. If anyone has G37-related recommendations, please let me know.
Another thing I'm missing is the mountain goat nature of my 4th gen. It had good road clearance, FWD, and was rather light. I took it in semi-off road conditions without hesitation. With my G37, it's RWD, 500lbs heavier, and bottoms out on my driveway if I I'm not careful. So now I have to think twice before driving to the mountains for a quick weekend ski trip, for example, or exploring some wilderness backroads. I've already been in icy conditions and found my non-ABS, non-VDC FWD driving instincts completely wrong for RWDandhopethestabilitycontrolsortsitout.

That suxs about your car, but at least you weren't hurt.
As far as the repair manual... Chilton makes one for the G37.

Thanks guys.
Maybe in a few years I'll pick up a second side vehicle. I've been leaning more towards a <2004 Pathfinder/QX4 or perhaps AWD Element though. If I came across a excellent condition 4th gen though, that could very well get the nod. Right now I have an Xterra I can borrow often enough, but it's also a bummer to be tied to that.
Thanks for a Chilton link. I had forgotten about them in my amazement that Haynes did not have one. I'll have to see if Chilton has a hardcopy manual though.
Edit: Looks like this is a hardcopy option: Chilton Asian Service Manual Vol. 3. A bit overkill since it covers far more than just the G37, but at least it is available. I was able to find it for $50something shipped.

I lost my black 07 Maxima a week before Christmas when this kid decided to drive on my lane coming head on. Fortunately I was able to swerve and avoid a head on collision but couldn't get my maxima fully out of the way in time and he smashed my right rear side. Resulting in it being totaled.... All the air bags went off on the right side.
On the upside! I was able to upgrade to my white frost 2011 Maxima! Staying in the family! =)
Purchased a front lip spoiler as well. I just need to find the time to paint it. I'll repost with new pics after its finished.

Bummer and congrats.
I was very closed to getting another Maxima myself. It seems around Christmas time is a great time to experience collisions since last years models are discounted so greatly. I ultimately decided I didn't want to spend the $$$. If the total happened next winter, and I had a bit more savings as a result, I would have likely gone home with that Maxima -- it was amazingly comfortable. If they had a 2-3 year old used Maxima on the lot, that would have likely gotten the nod. (They only had a 1 year old used Maxima, but with the discounts for last years new stock, the price was about the same and just a notch beyond what I could spend.)

Ask Rochester. From what I gathered he said the 37 forums are lame because most are leasing and cant get too crazy. I would imagine a lot of douchebags over there but it wont be as bad as BMW forums where anything not made out of gold is not good enough for their ride
It's funny but G8board is full of idiots who have attitudes all the time as if it's gaining them some respect by being d*cks to other members. Someone will chime in a thread with a smartass remark. It never fails. The org by far has been the best forum ever. Real talk.
You people spoiled me alright.
