4 Channel AMP

Ok so my amp I was using for my 15" sub shyt the bed. To lighten the car Im taking the sub out. Now I want to add an AMP power the door speakers. I already have the power cables going to the trunk and Im planning on upgrading the RCAs to something better than the EBAY shyt I have now.

One thing I was contemplating was putting the amp under the pass front seat? Any input on that.... Only wondering to try an not have to run speaker wires from the truck to all the doors.

Also what just not sure what kind of AMP and wattage to go for. Id like to keep it kinda cheap (Id buy used from here if price is good) but I want it to sound decent.

Current setup:
HU: Pioneer AVH-P3300BT w/AVIC-U220 navi addon
"A" Pillar : Stock tweeters
Frnt Drs: 6.5" Pyle subs, PDMW6 125 watts RMS/250 Max
Rear Drs: Factory speakers

Get an amp that can run 200 watts rms 4 channel or use a small class d. under seat will not properly venilate amp and could cause amp malfunction.

Do you mean something rated at least 1600watt (max) x 4? That way the RMS will be close to 200 per speaker. And that wont over power the factory speakers in the rear doors?

You shouldnt look at peak power just rms power. Your cheaper amps boast huge peak power. try a decent brand like fosgate jl audio and youll be more likely happier with true wattage.

As far as the stock rears id run them off the cd player. theyre not gonna.handle much with the cheap laper cones. Or you.can upgrade. quality of the speakers is important. Better sound and less power needed for clear crisp sound. Alpine makes a type s component set thatll fit and sound great under low power

OK so for the amp are you saying 200 Watts rms per channel or total rms out into 4 channels?... I have been iffy on replacing the rears because noone is really back there most of the time .... but will the sound difference be heard in the front by replacing them? Right now I get decent highs outa of the front stock tweeters and bass from the doors as long as I have the fader all the way to the front. If I have it centered the bass fades out greatly.

200 watts rms total will handle your front 6.5 subs. Run the tweets off the cd player if possible. your 6.5 are rated at 125rms as you posted so 100 watts to each is a decent power amount to them. Even 75 watts is good for those pyle..

Np buy a decent 2 chnl amp and youll be fine. remember rms wattage is actual continous.power peak power is just cheap companies boasting thier amps to customers who may not have alot of knowledge of audio components.

if you have decent room around the amp for air to circulate, placing it under the seat will be fine.

toss the pyle stuff all together IMO, and get a good set of component speakers. you'll be much better off that way.
