Lost some electronic controls Maxima 2009

Hello

I lost tilt down mirrors while reversing, the two preset seat adjustments and the auto tilt steering when I exit the car. I am assuming that some sort of module and/or software needs to be replaced. Is this something that I can repair myself or will I need to bring my car into a dealership and pay them $98 per hour. Thanks

Danny

Just a possibility - For the mirror tilt-down to work, the mirror setting on the dash must be in either the left or right position. If it is in the center position, that turns off the tilt-down option.

Have you tried turning the seat preset and automatic steering wheel tilt functions off and on again? Often, after a regular service trip to my dealer, these functions have been turned off when I pick up the car.

Has your battery been disconnected for any reason lately? That can nullify some kinds of settings, requiring they be reset. Let us know if you find anything.

The mirror switch is to the left. I have tried flipping it from the left to the right positions.

As for the tilting of the steering, I assume this setting is found on the control panel display?

Thanks

Inspect the driver's side door panel. On the top section of the panel, you'll see a small **** with the letters "L" and "R" on it. This is the mirror control ****.

The mirror tilt in reverse feature is controlled by the mirror select switch. Left or right enables the tilt feature while the center position disables it.

The steering wheel on exit function is controlled through the settings.

I have also lost my passenger side mirror's ability to tilt down when in reverse. I have tried different settings of the mirror control switch to no avail. The driver side works fine though. I'm not too concerned though since I don't use the mirrors for backing up anyway.
