Camshaft Postion Sensor

Hey,

I'm new here! My 3.5L 03 Maxima's check engine light came on and has code P0011. Everything seems to be fine so I think the CPS might be bad. Where could I find the CPS and do ya'll think it could be the same problem?

Thanks in advance!!

Should also call your local dealer and see if it has had the cps recall done. Mine had not, so I had them do it last year. Can't beat free.

There are 2 cam shaft position sensors. Extremely easy fix as they are held in with one 10mm bolt I believe. They are both on the drivers side of the motor on the cylinder head JUST underneath the valve cover. You can't miss it, its the only sensor on the heads. But before you replace do as Chris said and stop by the stealership and have them run your VIN. Do NOT cheap out on this part purchase oem only as the aftermarket ones are garbage.
